Let me tell you a story-A family of 3 mom dad and a son two years old. Once dad comes from work exhausted and plan to go to sleep after dinner straightway. But when the dad comes home, the baby falls off the stairs and hurts himself. So dad mom runs him to the accident and emergency unit of the hospital and ends up spending all night at the hospital. Now in this situation when dad was tired and wanted to sleep, where did all that energy come from to take the baby to the hospital and stay up all night for his baby. This energy was always inside him. Same goes for everyone; this abundance of energy is always inside all of us, all we need a catalyst to get that energy on to the surface for us to use it. We are emotional beings and take the majority of our decisions based on emotions however the same emotions can be used to become successful in life if used intelligently.
My purpose is my family and the fact that when I see people smiling, it gives me a smile. My purpose and passion are to help and educate people. The law of the universe is/will give what you want more of so for example you want more money, give out more money in charity and be generous and you will get more of it back. Same applies to smile, happiness and love, the more you give, and the more you will get back.
When it comes to the purpose; the foundational understanding of human connection needs to have clarity. Everyone that we meet, that person is just like us so treat people like the way you want to be treated. If someone treats you negatively; that person is your teacher and trying to teach you something; look out for what you can learn. ‘What people do is their karma and how you respond is yours’. ‘You are your heaven and your hell’; choose wisely. If you are not at peace with yourself; then there is something you need to learn and improve. The sign of success is when you are at peace with yourself but still strive for prosperity and wealth. It’s a difficult balance to maintain when you are at peace with yourself and still attempt to make more money and have prosperity in your life. Even without wealth, being at peace with yourself is difficult so it’s a balance one must learn to create if you want to live in this social world.
Without purpose getting wealthy and finding peace can be difficult. Without purpose taking action becomes difficult, facing and coming out of the difficult times become more difficult. Purpose doesn’t just get you going but helps you strive for better and bigger objectives in life. Purpose gives you more clarity. Purpose gives you the emotional kick you need to get things done as I mentioned above. The case of dad tired and took his son to the hospital; dads’ purpose here was to save his son as he loved his son.
Another purpose that I focus on is gaining and sharing knowledge so I can get more of it. Universal law again; the more you share, the more you get and the more knowledge you have and the wiser you become in taking business and life decisions. Lack of purpose also means lack of passion that in turn leads to failure and disappointment. Eventually, it can lead to a downward spiral in life and business. So finding your purpose and passion is the first step in life and keep looking for it till you don’t find it. The day you do find is the day you never have to work a single day of your life as what you do will not feel like work but a hobby or leisure time; like a lifelong holiday. Would you rather work all your life or take a lifelong holiday? It’s your choice.Although I have mentioned purpose and passion in the same context, these are two different aspects but correlated. The purpose is your ‘why’ so for example why do you work. Passion is more about what you like doing. People tell me their purpose of working is to make money. The problem with this purpose is it will not give you happiness; it may give you financial success but not real life success where you have wealth and happiness together.

The problem with this purpose is it will not give you happiness; it may give you financial success but not real life success where you have wealth and happiness together.
Another success misrepresentation is more wealth means more success. Financial success is only a one part of the larger success in life. Everyone has their definition of success; however, there is the general definition that majority agree with is ‘being at peace with yourself’. To be at peace with yourself, gaining knowledge about life and wealth creation is required especially if you want to live a social life. The more knowledge you have and the more clarity you have about your life and your goals, the more happy and successful life you will live.
For some people finding life passion and purpose can be very easy as they grow up learning music or some sport and follow that passion throughout their life. However for others it can take some time, there are many ways to find what you love. One way is to reflect back on your childhood and think about what you loved doing, like playing some sport or participating in debates or music or art. Once you reflect back on what you liked doing, go and do more of that and see if it’s something that doesn’t feel like work, that’s one way.
Another way is to try out new things every month, like swimming, playing different instruments and playing different sports. Be creative in thinking and listen to what people around are saying as well. Sometimes they might give you a clue to what you like doing, that’s an excellent way to find your passion that will eventually lead you to find your purpose sometimes.
Another misunderstanding people have is that they have gone past their age to be a star sportsman or star musician or star entrepreneur. An example would be Colonel Sanders of KFC. He started franchising KFC at the age of 62 and at the time of his death at the age 90; KFC had 6000 outlets in 48 countries with $2 billion annual revenue worldwide.
Pursuing to find your purpose and passion will give you everything you always wanted in life so contemplate, reflect back and spend some time to find it. You will find it within you rather than outside, and once you find it, you will never have to work one single day of your life as anything you do will not feel like work.
Another aspect is the belief system we have which is the major ingredient in being successful in sales and life. The belief that you can sell, and you will be successful in sales you must have to have a future and a career in sales or business. Self-belief is required in everything we do in our life, if you don’t have that, it is tough to achieve anything. But where does the self-belief come from, it comes from your relationship to yourself. It also comes from believing in your product or service and the company you work for. It also comes from the fact that the product you are selling is the best option for your customer. If your belief in yourself, your company, your product and that your product provides the best value for your customer is not there, you will not be successful in sales. Believe in yourself, your product, your company and that you will be successful in life is essential.
If the little voice inside you says you can’t do it, then practise shutting the voice down. Even if you have to go to a lonely place and shout to the top your lungs to shut the voice inside you telling you; you can’t do it, shut it down. The more you practice, the more this little voice starts to either disappear or change its tone to an affirmative one. This little voice must be dealt with in every situation in life either the way mentioned just now or look for other ways to deal with it, so it becomes an affirmative one.
Think in a positive tone rather than negative tone. Let me give you an example- Think in terms of what you want rather than what you don’t want. So your thought process must be like ‘I want to live happily and become financial wealthy and have good health’. Don’t think in negative terms like ‘I don’t want to unhappy and be poor and be sick’. The reason is our subconscious and unconscious mind does not understand ‘yes or no’. What it understands is the term you use so if you think ‘I want to be happy’, all it understands is ‘happy’. And if you think ‘I don’t want to be unhappy’, all it understands is ‘unhappy’. Same goes with ‘wealthy and poor and healthy and sick so use the terms you want rather than the ones you don’t want. The universe gives you whatever you ask for so think in terms of what you want.
Coming back to the belief system and mindset; whatever happens in our life happens due to the way we think. So if you feel strong and positive and take actions accordingly; you will become a sales master and become successful. Let me give you an example of an ant; have you ever tried to stop an ant going forward? What it does is it never stops regardless of how much you try, it will make its way either left, right, back or will even go over your hand. That’s the attitude you want to have in your life and sales. If someone tries to stop you, choose the attitude of an ant, never stop. A ‘no’ means next opportunity, go and see another prospect. It also means ‘no’ for now so try some other time, maybe after a week or a month or even a year or two. If your life circumstances come in the way of your success, the same attitude of an ant, never stop regardless of the situation. Perseverance is one of the most vital traits to learn to be successful in sales and life.
Sales masters are always learning and improving their skills. Same goes for success in life, to be successful; you must keep learning and improving through practice and personal development programmes.
Action Plan is questions asked throughout this programme for you to fill answers for yourself, so you get more clarity on your goals and achieve them. Also when you write, the effect on your brain to achieve those goals is enormous.
Question- What do you like or love doing where you don’t feel the time?
Question- How can you use that to create a career for yourself?
Question- What else do you like doing?
Question- Reflect back on your childhood and think about what did you like doing on and off the school?
Question- What gets you emotionally involved and how can you make it your career?
Question- How many different fields of work have you tried in the past 5-10 years and how many would you try in the next 5-10 years?
Question- Do you know everything about the things you like doing? Like the scope of it, if you took it as a career?
If not then why not research it. Please don’t assume or underestimate.
Think of the open questions (open questions starting with what, why, when and how) you can ask yourself about your purpose and passion. The more questions you ask yourself and answer them to yourself, the more clarity you will have in your life. More clarity leads to more knowledge, leading to more happiness and success.
